Curriculum

Students at Beverly Hills Public School are provided with learning experiences in six Key Learning Areas. Key Learning Areas often have strands or areas of study. The Key Learning Areas and related strands are listed below:

English - Talking and Listening, Reading and Writing

Mathematics - Number, Space, Measurement, Patterns and Algebra, Space and Geometry, Data and Working Mathematically

Science and Technology

Human Society and Its Environment

Creative Arts - Music, Visual Arts, Drama and Dance

Health, Physical Education and Personal Development – Health, Physical Education, Personal Development and Sport

The syllabus documents for each of these KLA's are developed by the Board of Studies, which is an independent statutory authority of the New South Wales Government.

The Board of Studies syllabus documents organise the learning outcomes into seven stages that range from Kindergarten to Year 12.
